An IGU Academician Receives International Success: Best Paper Award from Bosnia and Herzegovina!

Numerous academics from around the world gathered at the NEW HORIZONS 2025 – X International Scientific Conference of Transport and Communications, organized by the University of East Sarajevo, Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering, in Doboj (Bosnia and Herzegovina) from November 5–8, 2025.

Among the papers presented at this prestigious event, Çanakçıoğlu's co-authored study, "Evaluating the Impact of Independent Auditing on the Sustainability Performance of Freight Transportation in a Type-2 Neutrosophic Fuzzy Environment," achieved great success by being selected as the best paper of the conference. In his study, Associate Professor Dr. Mustafa Çanakçıoğlu, Head of the Department of Electronic Commerce and Management at Istanbul Gelişim University's Faculty of Applied Sciences, analyzed how sustainable performance in the transportation sector can be optimized through independent auditing processes. The study, which stands out for its academic rigor, interdisciplinary perspective, and data science-based methodology, was recognized by an international scientific committee for its scientific contribution, methodological innovation, and focus on sustainability.
