 Trip to the Istanbul Archaeology Museum, the Intercultural Communication Course


A trip to the Istanbul Archaeology Museum was organized within the scope of the THP364 Intercultural Communication course conducted by the Department of Television Journalism and Programming at the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Istanbul Gelisim University. During the trip, students had the opportunity to observe cultural heritage and intercultural interactions through artifacts belonging to different civilizations.


A museum trip to the Istanbul Archaeology Museum was organized within the scope of the THP364 Intercultural Communication course offered by the Department of Television Journalism and Programming at Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Applied Sciences.

Throughout the visit, students examined artifacts from Ancient Greek, Roman, Mesopotamian, Egyptian, and Anatolian civilizations displayed in the museum. Through the museum collections, discussions were held on cultural heritage, historical memory, and interactions between different civilizations.

Students also observed the role of museums in preserving and transmitting cultural values while evaluating the topics covered in the Intercultural Communication course through direct field experience.

The trip contributed to reinforcing students’ theoretical knowledge and increasing their awareness of historical and cultural heritage.
