Chair's Message

Dear Students,

The aviation industry is developing rapidly both in Türkiye and around the world in parallel with the increasing globalization of today’s world. With the contribution of technological advancements, the aviation industry has become an important part of this transformation and development, gaining significant momentum and strengthening its position among other modes of transportation. In particular, aviation organizations operating in Türkiye have distinguished themselves on the global stage through their service quality, comfort, safety, and many other capabilities. As a result, continued growth has become inevitable for the aviation industry in Türkiye. Rising employment opportunities, as an integral part of this growth, also make a significant contribution to the Turkish economy.

As the Department of Aviation Management, we educate qualified human resources who are equipped to work in managerial and operational departments of organizations operating in various fields of aviation, including flight operations, safety management, and marketing. Our educational approach integrates theory with practice. In addition to receiving theoretical education, our students gain familiarity with the professional world, have opportunities to engage with national and international platforms, and participate in field studies that prepare them both for their careers and for their responsibilities in society upon graduation.

As the Department of Aviation Management, we not only educate students with theoretical and practical knowledge of the aviation industry but also contribute to the sector through advanced scientific studies and research. In line with this objective, our students acquire knowledge and skills in areas such as civil aviation, information technologies, aircraft and air vehicles, general economics, international aviation, logistics, accounting, airline security, passenger services, and international transportation. Through the knowledge and competencies they gain, they are prepared to contribute effectively to the aviation industry.

Bringing together two distinct disciplines—aviation and management—the Department of Aviation Management will continue to educate qualified professionals and future managers who meet the needs of the aviation industry and closely related fields through its academic staff and professionally designed course content. In this regard, our primary goal is to prepare you to become an integral part of this dynamic and growing industry.
