The Aviation Management (English) Department trains qualified human resources who can work in many departments of industry organizations serving in the field of aviation, such as flight operations, safety management, and marketing.
In addition to aiming to educate students who are knowledgeable, experienced, and well-equipped in both theoretical and practical aspects of the aviation sector, the department also contributes academically to the sector through its advanced scientific studies and research.
In line with this objective, the Aviation Management Department provides students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in areas such as civil aviation, information technology, aircraft and air vehicles, general economics, international aviation, logistics, accounting, airline security, passenger services, and international transportation.
Target of Department
The primary goal of the Aviation Management (English) Department is to train qualified candidates who possess the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the current and future needs of companies operating in the aviation sector.
In line with this objective, our students are educated to become individuals who can think critically, rationally, and creatively, and act in accordance with science and technology, through the Aviation Management bachelor's degree program. Our graduates will possess the academic knowledge required to assume leadership roles in various disciplines of aviation.

Graduates of the Aviation Management (English) Department will have a wide network of employment opportunities in line with the rapid development of the aviation sector and the increasing need for qualified personnel in this field. Our graduates will be qualified to be employed in various departments of public and private sector organizations and to take on middle and senior management positions at national and international levels. For graduates who wish to pursue an academic career, master's and doctoral education is a prerequisite. Graduates who complete the Aviation Management master's program are trained to be individuals with advanced critical and creative thinking skills, who act in line with science and technology, and who are equipped with the academic knowledge to take on leadership roles in various disciplines of aviation. Departments Allowing Horizontal Transfer
The Aviation Management (English) Department accepts students through horizontal transfer within the quota in accordance with the “Regulation on the Principles of Transfer, Double Major, Minor, and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer between Associate and Bachelor's Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions” for associate and bachelor's degree programs.
Departments Allowing Vertical Transfer
All students who wish to transfer to the Aviation Management (English) Department through Vertical Transfer will be placed by ÖSYM if they take the Vertical Transfer Exam and obtain the required score. Students who meet all the requirements will thus be eligible to receive a four-year undergraduate education at our school. Additionally, associate degree students at Istanbul Gelişim University who secure a paid spot through the DGS are eligible for a 50% scholarship.
