Chair's Message

Dear Students and Prospective Students,

Data Science and Analytics is one of today’s rapidly evolving fields that brings together various disciplines—such as statistics, mathematics, programming, and artificial intelligence—to extract meaningful insights from data, develop solutions to complex problems, and contribute to data-driven decision-making. With rapid advancements in digitalization and artificial intelligence technologies, the volume of data being generated is increasing day by day; consequently, the need for experts capable of transforming this data into meaningful insights is also growing steadily.

As the Department of Data Science and Analytics at Istanbul Gelişim University, our goal is to educate our students to become individuals who can think analytically, solve problems, effectively use current technologies, and make data-driven decisions. Throughout their education, our students will have the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge through real-world applications by working on datasets obtained from various fields.

Our graduates can shape their careers in various fields, such as data analyst, data scientist, data engineer, business intelligence specialist, artificial intelligence developer, and decision support systems specialist. They will have the opportunity to work in many sectors, including finance, healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, e-commerce, telecommunications, and technology.
