The primary objective of the Information Systems and Technologies program is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to effectively utilize contemporary technologies such as software development, systems analysis, database management, cybersecurity, mobile application development, cloud technologies, and artificial intelligence. The program ensures a comprehensive understanding of the components that make up information systems and aims to equip students with the technical expertise and analytical thinking skills necessary to develop solutions tailored to organizational needs.
Target of Department
In today’s world, where digital transformation is rapidly spreading, the integration and management of information systems are becoming increasingly critical. Currently, the need for IT infrastructure in both the public and private sectors is growing; in parallel, the demand for systems analysts, software developers, cybersecurity experts, and information systems managers is rising rapidly. The Department of Information Systems and Technologies aims to meet the industry’s need for qualified human resources by training creative and solution-oriented experts who can keep pace with current technologies and possess interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

Departments Allowing Horizontal Transfer
The Department of Information Systems and Technologies accepts students through lateral transfer into its associate’s and bachelor’s degree programs, subject to available capacity, in accordance with the “Regulations on the Principles Governing Transfers Between Associate’s and Bachelor’s Degree Programs, Double Majors, Minors, and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfers at Higher Education Institutions.”
Departments Allowing Vertical Transfer
All students wishing to transfer into the Information Systems and Technologies program through the Vertical Transfer process will be placed by ÖSYM provided they take the Vertical Transfer Exam and achieve the required score. Students who meet all requirements are thus eligible to pursue a four-year bachelor’s degree program at our university. In addition, associate degree students at Istanbul Gelişim University who secure a spot in the paid quota through the DGS are eligible for a 50% tuition scholarship.
