Purpose of Department
Avionics department is an academic discipline that aims to train technicians specialized in the design, development, maintenance and management of electrical and electronic systems, which are one of the basic building blocks of modern aviation systems. This department provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure the safe and efficient operation of various electronic and electrical systems used in civil and military aviation.
 
To train qualified maintenance and repair “licensed technician candidate” personnel for the aviation sector at international standards. 
 
 

Target of Department
In the Aviation Electrics and Electronics Department, it is aimed to provide training in accordance with the European Union Standards, SHY / EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Personnel Regulation and SHY / EASA Part-147 Aircraft Maintenance Education Institutions Regulation, within the framework of the principles determined by YÖK.
 
In this context, our department has been approved by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation as a "REGISTERED SCHOOL".

Career Opportunities

Technicians graduated from the Department of Aviation Electrics and Electronics can work in aircraft factories or maintenance and repair workshops affiliated to the Ministry of Transport. As air transportation increases in our country and private sector enterprises take part in this field, the working areas of the technicians who graduated from the Aviation Electrics and Electronics Department are also expanding.


Departments Allowing Horizontal Transfer
In accordance with the “Regulation on the Principles of Transferring Between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Programs, Double Major, Minor and Credit Transfer Between Institutions in Higher Education Institutions”, students are accepted to associate degree/undergraduate programs within the quota. However, in order for the privileges obtained with the RECOGNIZED SCHOOL certification to be valid, students must transfer from a school/department with an equivalent “RECOGNIZED SCHOOL” certification. In case of transfer from departments that do not meet this condition, the rights of the “RECOGNIZED SCHOOL” privilege cannot be granted to graduates.
