1-What does "SHT-147 Recognized School Status Educational Institution" mean?
Technician candidates who operate in the field of Aircraft Maintenance within the scope of the Law of the Ministry of National Education and the Council of Higher Education, who are authorized by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (SHGM) within the scope of the UED- 2014/3 circular and who graduate from the mentioned schools, are required to have a Recognized School Graduation Certificate within the scope of SHY 66 basic training modules. Educational institutions where module exemption rights are gained and basic care experience periods are reduced are called SHT-147 Recognized School Status Educational Institutions.
2- What is "SHT-147 Recognized School Status Educational Institution Certificate"?
SHY- 147 Recognized School Status Educational Institution certificate means the authority DGCA Approved Recognized School Status Educational Institution certificate. It means that the training provided by the training institution holding this certificate has been inspected by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation of our country and the quality of the training provided has been approved by this organization. In summary, the trainings of the Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Undergraduate and Aviation Electrical Electronics Undergraduate Departments of İSTANBUL GELİŞİM UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCES mean that they have passed all kinds of inspections in terms of quality and standards and their quality has been approved.
3-Are there any other organizations that have SHT-147 Recognized School Status Educational Institution Certificate?
It is not possible to easily obtain the SHT-147 Recognized School Status Educational Institution Certificate. For this reason, the number of organizations with this authority in our country is quite low. Civil Aviation Schools that have this authority are listed on the DGCA website.

For example; Our school is the only foundation university that provides education in the B2 Avionics category in Higher Education "within the scope of SHT147 Recognized School Authorization". The language of education is Turkish.
4-Why Is It So Difficult to Have a Recognized School Graduation Certificate?
Obtaining a “Recognized School Graduation Certificate” is a very challenging process. In order to obtain this certificate, it is first necessary to document all stages of the training, to ensure a certain quality control by the institution, and to document all the training provided. So, all practical trainings must be documented step by step and students must pass these trainings completely. In addition, all Practical (Task) Trainings must be given by Practical Trainers with field and industry experience. All theoretical and practical studies carried out within the scope of technical knowledge training are recorded. All of these records are also shown to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation officials during inspections when necessary. The detected findings are resolved immediately and Root-Cause analyzes are performed to the DGCA and reported via Form240.
Therefore, maintaining and maintaining SHT-147 authorization is much more difficult than obtaining this authorization.
In short, being a student at SHT-147 recognized school is literally a new way of life. Discipline and rules come first in education. Every step of technical education is determined by rules. 5-SHT-147 How are module equivalent courses and Module Exemption Exams conducted?
Evaluations of the training provided within the scope of SHT-147 Recognized School consist of "Knowledge Exams", "Practical Trainings" and "Practical Evaluations". Our students receive training for a total of 4 years (8 semesters) to meet the standards specified in the SHY-66 Aircraft Basic Maintenance Personnel Regulation and Instruction and the instructions in the SHY-147 Recognized School guide document and legislation.
Students who pass courses within the scope of YÖK legislation can take the module exemption exams based on the SHY-66 license. The passing grade for all module exemption exams is at least 75 out of 100.
Practical training (TASK TRAININGS), which are among the subjects of the module equivalent courses, are carried out in 10 Aircraft System-Engine Workshops and Pilot Melike Force Aircraft Maintenance hangar (CESSNA 340A aircraft).
6-What is required to obtain SHT-147 Recognized School Graduation Certificate?
To obtain the SHT-147 Recognized School Graduation Certificate B1 or B2 certificate, the student must attend 90% of each module course in the Education Program. That means attendance at classes is mandatory. Our students who have succeeded in passing module courses within the scope of YÖK legislation must be successful in the Module Exemption Exams of the Basic Theoretical Training and also be successful in the practical evaluations by completing their practical training in order to obtain the certificate.
7-What are the employment opportunities for our graduates?
