The Department of New Media and Communication aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills related to traditional and digital media broadcasting in theory and practice. For this purpose, students gain these skills through theory and practice courses that include social media applications, digital account management, content production, social media and measurement, basic artificial intelligence applications, digital publishing, radio and television broadcasting, camera and photography techniques, editing, video and desktop content, internet journalism, editing and video techniques, which are important in the traditional and digital media sector. With the elective courses in the curriculum, students are provided with more intensive information about the media branch they want to specialize in. The compulsory internship practice in the department curriculum paves the way for students to cooperate with the sector. As a result of all these outputs, students who complete their education and training activities in the Department of New Media and Communication can enter their professional lives with field competence and full equipment.

There is a 30-day compulsory summer internship in the department.

The department has a television studio and a digital communication application workshop. With the application courses in the curriculum, students have the opportunity to use various technical equipment such as desktop broadcasting, e-broadcasting, camera systems, sound applications, lighting techniques, editing and editing, artificial intelligence applications and data analysis.

Our students who meet the necessary conditions in universities contracted with the department's Erasmus + exchange program have the opportunity to study abroad and do internships.
