INTERNSHIP PERIOD AND INTERNSHIP PERIODS

Internships in Associate Degree programs are done in the summer months following the second semester at the earliest, as 30 working days; however, with the application of the students registered in the secondary education programs and the approval of the relevant department/program head, internships can also be done in the normal education-teaching semesters following the second semester.

Internships at the Faculty of Applied Sciences are done in the summer months following the fourth semester at the earliest, except the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, and Cultural Heritage Preservation and Restoration Department, as 30 working days. In the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, internships are divided into two or three equal parts, with a minimum of 20 working days in the summer months following the second semester, for a total of 60 working days. In the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, internships are divided into two equal parts 20 working days in the summer months following the fourth semester, for a total of 40 working days.

Internships for undergraduate programs not specified in this directive are carried out in the summer months following the fourth semester at the earliest, without dividing by 30 working days.

Normal education students who do not have to attend the courses they are registered for can also do their internship during the academic semesters.

In Internship Programs, a week is considered five working days. In workplaces that work on Saturday, Saturday is also considered a working day. Official and religious holidays are not considered working days.
Summer internships start on the last day of the spring semester final exams.

Students who will take the Make-Up Exams and take courses in the summer education program are the responsibility of the students to attend the classes, attending the exam, and attend the internship. Any excuse of the student does not remove these obligations.

Internships are completed uninterruptedly for specified periods. Sickness reports of up to five working days and absences of up to three working days deemed appropriate by the workplace internship officer are accepted as excuses. A student who does not attend his internship for at least nine working days with or without an excuse is deemed to have never done an internship. Work days equal to the excused/unexcused absence period are added to the internship period. In this case, upon the application of the student, additional insurance is made for the missing days. If the student or the internship place does not report this situation, the responsibility belongs to them.

For the student who extends the determined internship period voluntarily, no additional insurance is made.
Students who do not have an internship obligation in their education plans cannot apply for an optional internship.

DETERMINATION OF INTERNSHIP PLACES
