On March 13, 2024, in collaboration with the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts and Yeni Nesil Student Club, the "Professional Knife Usage Training" was conducted at the E Block Tusi Conference Hall. The event, attended by knife expert Fırat Erbil from Pirge Company and moderated by Dr. Assoc. Prof. Nevruz Berna Tatlısu, Chair of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, was attended by Prof. Dr. Kamil Kaya, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, and department faculty members, as well as students from the departments of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts and Culinary. Detailed information was provided about the materials, diversity, types, purposes, and areas of knife usage during the event. Students learned about these topics in detail through presentations and question-and-answer sessions during the seminar. Prizes from Pirge and Indomie companies were awarded to students who provided the first correct answers to questions asked during the training and at the end of it. At the end of the event, Assoc. Prof. Nevruz Berna Tatlısu, Chair of the Department and event moderator, presented a plaque, expressing gratitude to the Yeni Nesil Student Club team and Mr. Erbil for their contributions to the organization.
