Prospective Student
Our Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department aims to provide students with a wide range of knowledge and skills based on Turkish and world culinary cultures. Our accredited department transfers subjects such as food hygiene-safety, current culinary trends and gastronomy philosophies to students with sustainable technologies and techniques. Our graduates can work as chefs, managers and gastronomy experts in five-star hotel kitchens, food and beverage establishments, cruise ships and catering companies. They can also pursue a career in writing and academic fields related to gastronomy. In the future, graduates of this department will assume important roles in the areas where food businesses are located as leading chefs and managers who manage to compete and stay dynamic in the sector.

1. Is there any additional fee charged to the student for the practical courses?
Our university provides the equipment and materials required for the practical courses. No additional fee is charged to the student.
2. Does everyone have a special knife for practice lessons?
In our kitchens, there are a variety of knives required for each practice lesson. If you want to have a special chef knife of your own, you can provide your own knife and bring it with you.
3. Does the university make chef jackets and aprons?
In the first year, chef jackets (with your name) are made in bulk for a fee for all students who want them.
4. Are there enough kitchens for practical courses?
There are a total of 4 kitchens in different campuses of our university. According to the kitchen capacities, courses are taught in appropriate kitchens.
