 Orientation for First Years Held


IGU UBF Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department 2024-2025 Academic Year Orientation Training Held


The orientation event, where the programs were introduced and the sharings were shared for the students who newly joined the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department of Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Applied Sciences, was held on October 4, 2024 at 10:00 for the English program in the K Block 809 classroom; and at 10:30 for the Turkish program in the E-210 classroom.
 
In the orientation training for the first year students of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, Department Head Asst. Prof. Nevruz Berna Tatlısu congratulated the students and started her speech with her wishes for a productive process in their four-year education life. Afterwards, information was provided to students about the opportunities offered by the university, program curricula, academic and administrative staff, laboratory facilities, accreditation certificate, Double Major Program (DMP), Minor and Erasmus+ opportunities, compulsory summer internships, and the support provided to students after graduation was also mentioned. Detailed information was shared with students about the thesis and non-thesis master's and doctoral programs of the Istanbul Gelişim University Graduate Institute Gastronomy Department. These trainings, which were carried out to help students adapt to university life and make the best use of existing facilities, were concluded by answering students' questions.
