  A Delicious Touch at the Cooperative Workshop at Istanbul Gelisim University


Istanbul Gelisim University hosted participants in the ‘Workshop on New Trends in Turkish Cooperatives in the International Year of Cooperatives 2025’ in the C Block Applied Kitchen area, adding a gastronomic experience to the academic event.


Hosted by Istanbul Gelisim University's Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, in collaboration with Rumeli University, the ‘Workshop on New Trends in Turkish Cooperatives in the International Year of Cooperatives 2025’ was held on Friday, 23 May 2025, on the 17th floor of Block K. The workshop, which took place between 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM, brought together academics, industry representatives, and students to discuss current developments in the field of cooperatives.
 
As part of the workshop, participants were welcomed in the university's C Block practical kitchen area at an event organised by the Istanbul Gelişim University Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts. A menu carefully prepared by the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts faculty and students was served to the participants. Participants were introduced to the diversity and flavours of Turkish cuisine through various presentations and techniques, showing great interest in the presentations. We would like to thank the department faculty members who contributed to the organisation of the event: Asst. Prof. Nevruz Berna Tatlısu, Asst. Prof. Elif Cemre Özaydın, and Didar Başgöze.
