Bringing together professionals, academics, chefs and students from the gastronomy and food and beverage sector, Culinary Forum 2026 was held at the Nirvana Cosmopolitan Hotel on 17–18 February 2026. Organised with international participation, the forum addressed the current dynamics of the sector in a multifaceted manner through panels, workshops, tasting events, and networking areas.
The session titled ‘The “Less is More” Revolution on the Plate: Minimal Presentation, Maximum Flavour and a New Generation Understanding of Balance,’ moderated by Assoc. Prof. Serdar Egeli, was one of the forum's most noteworthy panels. The session addressed the philosophical and technical dimensions of simplified plate presentations in modern gastronomy, emphasising that the trend among new generation chefs towards creating more conscious, balanced and simple plates represents a powerful transformation in gastronomy.
