 Gökkuşağı College Students Attend Muffin Workshop


The Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts offered Gökkuşağı College students a hands-on culinary experience with its muffin workshop.


The Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at Istanbul Gelisim University's Faculty of Applied Sciences welcomed Gökkuşağı College students to the C Block Gastronomy Kitchen Laboratory on 17 February 2026. Thirty-five students participated in the event, where they were given chef's hats and aprons upon entering the kitchen laboratory.
 
In the muffin workshop led by instructor Yiğit Can Yeşil, students were given information about the production process and the ingredients used; then, students experienced muffin making hands-on at the stations and decorated their products with their own creativity.
 
During the event, students had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in basic kitchen skills, observe food hygiene rules, and practise teamwork. Following the workshop, a campus tour was conducted to showcase the university's academic and physical facilities; the event contributed to raising awareness in the field of gastronomy.
