 Gökkuşağı College Students Participated in Souffle Workshop at Gastronorm Culinary Laboratory


Istanbul Gelisim University Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts organised a souffle making workshop at Gastronorm Culinary Laboratory for Gökkuşağı College students to gain basic culinary skills.


Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Applied Sciences, Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts hosted Gökkuşağı College 9th and 10th grade students at Gastronorm Culinary Laboratory on 16 April 2025. In the workshop organised under the tutelage of Chef Didar Başgöze, students had the opportunity to learn soufflé making practically. The event started with information about the ingredients used in soufflé making and the preparation stages. Then, the students were divided into stations in groups and practised the soufflé making process step by step. Chef Didar Başgöze supported the process by dealing with each student one-to-one. Students decorated the soufflés they prepared using their own creativity. Thanks to the workshop, the participants had the opportunity to get to know the food production area closely, develop basic kitchen skills, learn food hygiene rules and gain important skills such as teamwork. They also had practical experiences in time management, responsibility awareness and creativity.

At the end of the event, Gökkuşağı College teachers and students thanked Chef Didar Başgöze and expressed their satisfaction. This instructive and entertaining event increased students' interest in the field of gastronomy and made a significant contribution to their future career planning.
