The Istanbul Gelisim University 2025 Alumni Gathering took place on Friday, 19 December 2025, at the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall, between 17:00 and 21:00. Organised by the Istanbul Gelisim University Alumni and Members Coordination Office, the event brought together approximately 500 graduates from different periods of the university, offering graduates the opportunity to refresh their memories, forge new bonds and strengthen intergenerational interaction.
In a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere, graduates had the opportunity to share memories of their university years, reunite with old friends, and establish new connections with graduates from different periods. The interactions throughout the programme once again demonstrated that the academic, professional and social achievements of Istanbul Gelişim University graduates are a significant source of pride for the university, emphasising its commitment to maintaining a vibrant connection with its alumni.
The Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, the Culinary Arts and Pastry and Baking Programmes contributed to the Alumni Gathering. Various food and beverage offerings were presented at the event area thanks to the efforts of the department's students and teaching staff. Products from the mixology and pasta stations were also offered to participants.
Following the opening speeches, various gifts were presented to the graduates through a raffle. After the raffle, the programme continued with the cutting of the cake, and all participants were invited to the area where food and beverages were served. Here, the graduates had the opportunity to gather over refreshments, share memories of their university years, and chat with the department's teaching staff and members.
The event concluded with a concert by the İGÜ Music Group, followed by commemorative photographs and the exchange of good wishes. İstanbul Gelişim University officials stated that such events for graduates would continue to increase in the coming years, emphasising that graduate-university solidarity is an important part of the institutional vision.
