 Our Academic Activities Continue


The 6th Gastronomy Tourism Studies Congress attended by our department was held in Afyon between 7-9 October.


While many domestic and foreign papers were presented at the congress, experts in their fields, academics, scientists, chefs and gourmets participated in the event. Research Assistant from Istanbul Gelisim University, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts. See. Muzaffer Çakmak also represented our department by presenting a statement on "An Evaluation of the Michelin Guide's Possible Effects on Istanbul and Restaurant Businesses in Istanbul". In his statement, Çakmak talked about the possible effects of the Michelin guide on restaurant businesses in Istanbul by making use of the research results in the literature.
 
The "4th International Gastro Afyon Tourism and Taste Festival" hosted by Afyonkarahisar Municipality was held in parallel with the congress. In the festival, which was held to introduce the local flavors of Afyon to the whole world; panels, talks and workshops.
