Scientific Research

The academic staff of the department carry out research across a range of areas in translation and interpreting studies, including translation theory, translation technologies and machine translation post-editing, audiovisual translation and localization, interpreting studies, intercultural communication, and translator training. The department encourages the participation of both faculty members and students in national and international conferences, research projects, and publications, in line with its goal of training researchers as well as practitioners.
